Job Qualification Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; with 2 years of experience as a Freight Station Agent, SOC CODE 43-5011 (Cargo and Freight Agents) or in a closely related occupation such as Air or Ocean Freight Coordinator.
Working knowledge of freight documentation, including bills of lading, freight invoices, and customs paperwork. Understanding of air and ocean freight operations and basic customs clearance processes. Familiarity with standard logistics software and shipment tracking systems. Skilled in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. Ability to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, printer, scanner). Familiarity with air carrier schedules and safe cargo handling procedures. Willingness and availability to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends as required by shipment schedules.

Generate shipping documents, including commercial invoices and customs declarations. Maintain knowledge of air carriers, flight schedules, and cargo handling safety requirements. Examine cargo to ensure safe transport and compliance with shipping regulations. Ensure full compliance with internal policies (e.g., Operational Process Standards) and external government regulations, including U.S. Customs and TSA requirements. Advise clients on transportation options and payment methods. Interact with key client personnel for daily shipment coordination, including scheduling pick-ups, bookings, and departures. Collect customer payments and issue receipts; maintain accurate transaction records. Prepare operational and performance reports, including month-end reporting. Collaborate with internal departments to gather and report information to customers. Maintain logs and detailed records of all goods shipped, received, and stored.
